- QUOTE: A Service is defined as a commitment to deliver Outputs that contribute to Outcomes. Based on the definition of Outcome, this means that a Service delivers an Output that meets the needs of a client or a target group.
The name of a Service should ideally be defined as a combination of “modifier” (optional), “noun” (mandatory) and “gerund” (mandatory). For example, a Service might be named Solid Waste Collection but would not be called Solid Waste.
