An Objective Complement is a Linguistic Complement that renames or describes a Direct Object.

- Context:
- It can be tested for by inserting a Being Verb between the Direct Object and the Objective Complement.
- Example(s):
- “a painter”: “Jane, a painter, likes many colors.” (test: "Jane is a painter”).
