    • This task looks at the integration of the senses more specifically as it is a visual motor test where the participants learn a new motor skill involving hand–eye coordination.[1] Evidence is shown for procedural memory as amnesic participants are able to learn and retain this task. Drawing the image is the work of your procedural memory; once you figure out how to draw the image in the mirror you have little difficulty the second time. Individuals with Alzheimer's disease are not able to recall the skills acquired in a mirror tracing task, but they acquire the procedural performance ability regardless.[2]

    • Behavioral Persistence Measures: These measures involve observing how people behave in a task or situation that requires persistence. For example, one common behavioral measure of persistence is the Mirror Tracing Task, in which participants are asked to trace a star-shaped figure using a mirror. The amount of time participants spend trying to complete the task is a measure of their persistence.
