- Another well-known classifier that is naturally represented as a graphical model is logistic regression (sometimes known as the maximum entropy classifier in the NLP community). In statistics, this classifier is motivated by the assumption that the log probability, [math]\displaystyle{ \log p(y \vert x) }[/math], of each class is a linear function of x, plus a normalization constant.
