A Sign Function is a piecewise function that returns the sign of the scalar.

• AKA: Sgn.
• Example(s):
  • Sgn(-2) ⇒ -1
  • Sgn(-1.5) ⇒ -1
  • Sgn(-1) ⇒ -1
  • Sgn(0) ⇒ 0
  • Sgn(1) ⇒ +1
  • Sgn(1.1) ⇒ +1
  • Sgn(2) ⇒ +1
